The smoothest Smith Machine you’ll ever use, it is the Watson Plate Loaded Smith Machine. the reason they can make that claim is the Watson Plate Loaded Smith Machine is built around Thomson Linear Bearings which they believe are the smoothest, quietest and heaviest duty bearings available.
As well as the linear bearing system for the vertical movement, the bar rotates on 4 x 30 mm roller bearings making it very easy to lock off even when fully loaded.
Important to note this machine uses a 25Kg Bar , so worth considering what your starting point is, if you need lighter then consider the counter balance version, which has a 2kg Bar.
The frame is built from 100 x 50 mm and 70 x 70 mm box section steel, the Watson Plate Loaded Smith Machine is designed and built to take years of heavy use and still feel silky smooth to use.
