Trainingstation.co.uk collects customer data and is compliant with the General Data Protection Act (GDPA), ensuring the safeguarding of our customer data. Your details will be kept safe and secure, only used by us or those who work for us, and under no circumstances will be shared with anyone else.

How we use your information

Upon signing up for a Training Station Account, we ask for your personal information. We may share this information with third parties in order to improve the quality of our services for the following intents and purposes:

Identifying visitor behavioural patterns on the website helps us to improve the experience for the customer. This process does not identify individuals. We do not make any such attempt to identify our visitors, nor does Google.

Duration of information retainment

Due to the nature of our business, we provide home and commercial customers with fitness equipment which has, on average, a 5-year warranty; this and based on analysis into the customer life cycle when purchasing our fitness equipment, we retain customer information for 5 years.

We are legally obliged to retain customer records for 6 years due to HMRC rules and regulations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you as an individual have the right to find out what personal information we store about you.

Training Station is GDPR compliant, ensuring the safeguarding of our customer data. Your details will be kept safe and secure, only used by us or those who work for us, and under no circumstances will be shared with anyone else.

Access to personal information

We will only retain access to your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected, or as required by law.

In ensuring we remain as open as possible in relation to granting individuals access to their personal information, Training Station will make a ‘subject access request.’ Following your approval of this request, if we store any information about you, we will:

  • Inform you of the reasons as to why we are holding it

  • Provide you with a copy of your information

Should you request your personal information to be deleted, then please note this will take Training Station 48 hours to do so.

Should you agree, we try and deal with your subject access request informally. Having received your request and once your ID is confirmed, we will email your data to you in a common electronic format such as csv or xls.
